State TV attempted to mute the sound when the presenter, Ahmed Abdel Aziz, raised the question with Prime Minister Hesham Qandil, who responded by telling Abdel Aziz not to watch TV too much.
A video showing a protester being beaten, stripped naked and dragged by security forces during recent protests at the Ettehadiya Presidential Palace went viral, causing many to decry abuses against protesters.
